NightLine is an after-hours answering and lead-capture service for home-service trade businesses, operated in Maine, United States. This policy explains how we handle the personal information you share with us when you contact us by phone, text message, or through our website.

When you request service from us, we may collect:

- A description of the issue you need help with, including urgency and preferred scheduling
- Photos you send us to help describe the problem (for example, a photo of a leak or a broken fixture)

- Send us a text message (SMS/MMS)
- Interact with our after-hours SMS assistant, which gathers details about your service request

- Prepare quotes and estimates
- Respond to emergencies you report

5. SMS Communications
When you call a NightLine-powered business after hours, our automated SMS assistant may text you to gather details about your service request so we can respond promptly. By texting us, you agree to receive these messages.
- Standard message and data rates apply.
- Reply STOP at any time to opt out of SMS messages.
- Reply HELP for help.
- We typically send 2–10 messages per service request, depending on the complexity of your issue.
- Your phone number will not be sold or shared with third parties for their marketing purposes.
6. Third Parties We Share Data With
We use a small number of service providers to operate our business. We share only the data each provider needs to perform its function:
- Twilio — delivers and receives text messages and phone calls on our behalf.
- Anthropic — provides the AI that powers our after-hours SMS assistant. Message content is processed to generate responses; Anthropic does not use your data to train its models.
- Stripe — processes payments securely.
- Google Workspace — used for business email and internal record-keeping.
We do not sell your personal information to anyone.
7. Data Retention
We keep your information for the duration of our active business relationship with you, plus a reasonable period afterward for warranty, legal, and accounting purposes. If you request deletion of your data, we will remove it within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain it.

You have the right to:
- Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- Request that we correct inaccurate information
- Request that we delete your information
- Opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP
